We opened our doors in February 2021 with one simple mission - to create a friendly and down-to-earth bait shop where everyone feels welcome.

After too many visits to places where the service felt cold and the smiles

were rare, we knew it was time to offer something better.

Rusty Bucket Baithouse is different.

Here, kids scoop their own live shrimp,

neighbors trade fishing stories,

and first-timers feel right at home.

Whether you're just starting out or you’ve been fishing these waters for years, we are here to help with friendly advice, a few laughs, and the gear that actually works.

We keep things simple.

We only carry what works for the current season. No pressure. No gimmicks. Just honest products and helpful tips from locals who fish these waters too.

And to our veterans, shrimp is always free. It is a small gesture, but it means a lot to us.

At the end of the day, we are more than a bait shop.

We are part of the community.

We are your neighbor, your fishing buddy, and your go-to stop before a perfect day on the water.

Keep an eye out for the Rusty Bucket Bait Barge—your favorite floating bait stop anchored just outside the Gulf Harbors North Channel! We’re stocked with the freshest live bait around and ready to fuel your next fishing trip.

Whether you’re heading out early to your favorite fishing hole or making a last-minute stop on the water, we’ve got you covered. We’re slingin’ white bait by the scoop, plus shrimp, pinfish, and a selection of basic tackle to keep you ready for whatever bites.

We're open Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to Noon—or until we sell out. Swing by the Rusty Bucket Bait Barge, grab your bait, and get back to fishin’!
